Tourist Pole: Valle de Viñales

The Valley of Viñales, a national park that is a part of world cultural heritage, covers an area of 51 square miles (132 square kilometers) in the Sierra de los Organos Range. It is noted for its pincushion hills, with vertical sides and rounded tops, covered with abundant vegetation-to be seen only here and in Malaysia. The Viñales Valley, which was declared World Heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), is also Cuba's true Natural Monument and receives thousands of vacationers who want to be in direct contact with nature while they tour the Cuban archipelago.
