Hotel Ambos Mundos ****

Overview

This hotel is a building of eclectic architecture finally built in 1923. It was reformed and expanded in 1924 and 1930. In the early 30´s the famous American writer, Ernest Hemingway booked one room where he wrote "Fishing Chronicles" and the first chapters of "To Whom the Bells Toll". Once he spoke of the hotel as "...a nice place to write..." That room has been turned into a small museum referring to the writer´s life. Presently the hotel is "a good place" to enjoy a nice stay which allows guests to admire the values of the ancient part of the city.
